The Department
Goals
Teaching: To
prepare and upgrade professional industrial education/technology teachers for elementary,
secondary, and higher education.
Leadership: To
prepare individuals for leadership positions in industry and education.
Technology: To
prepare individuals for technological careers.
Service: To
provide a service function for individuals in the total educational setting relating
to the department mission.
Research: To
provide local, state, national, and international leadership in industrial education and
technology by serving as consultants, preparing scholarly papers, and conducting research.
Society: To
provide an opportunity for individuals at the university level to develop an
understanding of the industrial aspects of society.

Objectives
Programs: Provide
majors, minors, and graduate programs to support our mission and goals.
Courses: Provide
updated courses to serve our students and to provide a service to others.
Faculty & Equipment:
Obtain and maintain an up-to-date equipment inventory in
laboratories designed to support our programs and courses.
Faculty: Obtain
and maintain qualified faculty to lecture, provide laboratory experience, and perform all
other academic functions.
