The Department Mission
Career Preparation &
Specialization
To provide educational programs and courses aimed at the career
preparation and career specialization of university level students. Careers served
by this education are commonly called engineering technologist, industrial technologist,
supervisor/manager, or teacher. These career titles in industry are associated with
design manufacturing or construction. In education, these titles are associated with
public school programs and industrial training programs.

Manufacturing & Construction Technologies
To provide an education that is related to all facets of design,
manufacturing, and construction technologies.
Future Information &
Service Oriented Technologies
To provide an education that is related to a series of technologies used
in an industrial society which is undergoing transition from one that is dominated by
manufacturing to one that will be predominately information and service oriented.
