Industrial and Engineering Technology can be defined as the creative and systematic application of knowledge utilizing human and natural resources. This involves utilizing tools, equipment, techniques, processes, procedures, scientific principles, and management skills to produce and distribute goods, and services. These factors provide the information needed to cope with change and to control environmental conditions and their effect on society and culture.

Located in the Industrial Technology (IT) building on the Central Michigan University (CMU) campus, the Industrial and Engineering Technology Department is home to 25+ graduate students majoring in one of two degree options. These options include Industrial Education and Industrial Management and Technology.
