MSA 675, Strategic Policy Administration
All MSA Students are required to take three courses: (1) MSA 600, MSA 634 or MSA 635, and MSA 640. Other core courses must be selected in consultation with the student's academic advisor. A total of 15-21 hours must be taken in the administrative core. All MSA students are also required to take either MSA 685 (3 hours) or MSA 690 (6 hours).
Course Objectives:
After completing this course, the student should:
Demonstrate an understanding of the complexities of today's global marketplace and their implications on organizations.
Apply theories and concepts related to strategic policy development, implementation, and evaluation.
Describe the application of strategic policy concepts in different types of organizations, such as for-profit, not-for-profit, governmental, educational, etc.
Incorporate into practice exemplary ethical principles, sound personal and organization values, and socially responsible practices.
Present analysis and decisions both orally and in writing under critical appraisal.
Function as a member of an effective team in applying strategic policy principles.
Demonstrate an ability to make sound decisions using the principles of strategic policy administration.
