Our students tell us Central Michigan University’s convenient location and size and
its clean and beautiful campus are important in their decision to choose CMU for
graduate studies.
Although CMU’s park-like main campus covers 480 acres, you’ll find it seldom takes more
than 10 minutes to walk from class to class – unless you stop to chat or relax along one
of many walkways winding through CMU’s landscaped campus.
The campus represents both our rich tradition and our commitment to the future. At the
center, you’ll find the dignified older buildings of an institution that was founded more
than a century ago. Blended among them are modern residence halls and academic facilities
that reflect the university’s dedication to preparing you for your future. Grassy malls
and our six-acre Central Park are at the heart of campus and adjoin the buildings.
